About Danielle Rochon

Danielle Rochon  is a Chicago-based professional makeup artist specializing in clean beauty, special event, and bridal makeup.

I have always loved fashion and beauty. As a teenager I had a subscription to every beauty magazine you can think of. I loved how great hair and makeup transformed a woman.  While shopping  in Macy's as a teenager, I discovered the MAC counter. I was so mesmerized by how beautiful each woman looked and felt as they left the makeup counter. At that time, I didn't know makeup was a career option and buying makeup was just a very enjoyable hobby for me. After graduating from college, my love for makeup was calling me into the industry and MAC was the right fit for me.

I spent 3 years working for MAC Cosmetics and I was ready to take what I had learned and start Danielle Rochon Makeup. In addition to training at MAC, I've  had many wonderful teachers who helped advance my artistry such as  Renny Vasquez, Mario Dedivanovic, Mali Thomas (Kingmalimagic), Malika James (MJFaces), Kai Pritchard, and Alexandria Butler.

My clients are anyone from an excited bride-to-be to business women who want new images to revamp their website. I've worked with Northwestern University doing makeup for their celebrity alumnae event as well as with corporations for video and photo shoots.

My bridal clients have been featured in The Huffington Post, The Knot, Wedding Guide Chicago, Black Bride 1998, The Coordinated Bride, Munaluchi Bride, Essence Magazine Online, Strictly Weddings,  Modern Luxury Weddings Chicago, and the cover of Waldorf Astoria Weddings.

My  work can also be seen on clients who have been featured on Fatal Attraction (TV One), The Jam TV Show, Fox32's Flannery Fired Up, and  Windy City Live. I have worked with CBS providing makeup for guests and correspondents (Erin Moriaty), CNN providing makeup for Lenny Kravitz, and I  was  also one of the makeup artists for Black Ink Crew Chicago Season 3 & 4 (VH1). I recently worked with Grammy-nominated artist Rapsody for her performance at the NFL and Roc Nation Inspire Change concert in Chicago and singer and Oscar winner Jennifer Hudson for her annual Hatch Day event in Chicago.

Every client is unique and has different makeup needs. I continue to train so that I arrive ready to execute whatever style of makeup is needed for different media platforms or special events.

It is a blessing to be able to serve my clients for different occasions.
